Hewlett Packard’s Business Intelligence division wished to grow awareness of its new solutions set through social media. The division wanted to establish a comprehensive and scalable social media strategy complete with training and tools to implement inside the division and in alignment with the larger Software organization.

The solution

The enterprise contracted Ustratgy to help it develop its foundational social media strategy, create an action plan, identify the right tools, establish internal processes in support of the strategy, and launch a 3-month pilot to test and iterate on the plan.


By the end of the pilot, HP BI had:

–A complete social media strategy and live channels (twitter, facebook, linkedin, blog, YouTube, and syndicated content) upon which it can build and leverage

–Strong buy-in inside the organization

–Internal processes to manage engagement and tie into other marketing and advertising activities

–Ability to continue deliver and enhance the strategy in-house
